BEWARE Lajoie Stores (aka UREASHI PTE LTD)

and the products they claim to sell!

I ordered a nice looking pair of stained-glass sun catchers as a Christmas gift in 2020.
I checked the company and they have an address in California so I thought them legit.

However, when the item was received, it is grossly different than advertised.
What I received was 2 pieces of cut clear plastic with printing on it.
There was no "Stained glass, tin, copper foil, black patina" as advertised.

The page of the product in question has since been removed:

but you can see an archived version here.

(I had it archived for posterity.)

and what they actually supplied in this image. (Click for larger version)

I purchased the item using Paypal since they claim to have "Paypal Purchase and Seller Protection"
but in order to receive a refund I would have to return the fraudulent item with tracking *at my cost*
which would be double what I paid for the item. (We don't have cheap, government shipping here in
Canada like they do in China where it apparently shipped from.)

I believe they know the cost would be exorbitant and don't expect anyone to do it, in that way
they can fraudulently steal consumers money.

UPDATE: I did finally get a full refund through Paypal from UREASHI PTE LTD without having to go through the expense of returning
the fraudulent item but I had to complain directly to Paypal outside of their 'dispute resolution' system.

I suggest you make purchases with a credit card instead of Paypal as i believe they offer
better fraud protection than Paypal does. Either that or just claim the item didn't arrive
in which case there would be nothing to return. If Chinese sellers are going to try to rip off
North American consumers, stick it to them!
