Quietline Vs. Equator

Hi Guys,

I have been doing tons of research on the washer/dryer combo, and have decided with the given space I have in my apt, that this is the appliance for me. I do not know which is a better brand then others. I was hoping there were some people out there who have either one or the other and wouldn't mind giving me your opinion, the pros as well as the cons. They are both pretty expensive, and before I jump out there I really want to make sure that I make the best buy.

I'm afraid I don't have any personal experience with either brand so hopefully someone else will drop by and offer an opinion.

There is a possibility that both those brands are actually made by the same manufacturer. I don't know if that's true or whom it would be, just something to keep in mind.

If it turns out all other things are equal, try to find out whom does the service for those brands in your area and whether they stock any parts for them. Eventually they will need service, it's probably a good idea to go with the brand that has the best support network in place.

FYI: The Equator combo washer dryer is manufactured by the Philco corporation in Italy. They have been making combo washer dryers for over 40 years and make a solid product.

The Quietline washer is manufactured by the Haier corporation in China and has been in the US for only about 2 years.

Equator has an extensive dealer and service network across the US and has an excellent track record with service and support.
