F1 fault code on most Jenn Air ranges usually indicates a problem with the electronic control or its touch pad.

If the symptom persists with the touchpad totally disconnected from the control, it would usually point to the control as the cause. If the symptoms stop with keypad disconnected, the touchpad would usually be suspect. On models where the keypad and electronic control are one integral part, the whole control will usually have to be replaced if there's a problem in either parts.

BTW. On some models an F1 failure code can also be triggered by a problem in the oven temperature sensor or its wiring circuit. The most common sensors are usually in the area of 1100 ohms when at room temperature so testing it before replacing any parts might be a good idea to be on the safe side.
