Belanger stove

Sylvain Roy -- Sunday, 1 April 2001, at 10:27 p.m.

My parents boutht 22 years ago a Bélanger stove model B4708 KUI (Ceravit SPC) Serie 0E3 1770. Everything works well except that the 2 small surface elements are burnt and we don't find a place to get them. These elements are located underneath a flat plaque. Would you know which company took over Bélanger went they closed down? That could help finding some parts for this model.
Thank you all for your help.

Bélanger was purchased by Canadian Admiral which was purchased by Inglis when Admiral went out of business in the early 80's.

If anyone can still get replacement parts for it, an Inglis parts supplier will be just about your only hope.

BTW. Are you sure it is the light(s) that are defective? They are controlled by contacts in the element switchs. It is more common for those switchs to fail than the indicator lights (although not unhearof).

JFYI

Tx Dan for you info. I have a feeling that when the next surface element goes off my parents will have to buy a new stove!!
