Hampton Bay window unit

Clifford Gaines -- Friday, 27 July 2001, at 1:09 p.m.

Purchased and installed (slight tilt to rear) new Hampton Bay window unit. Have used it since June

1st and have yet to see any condensation output. The unit cools fine and automatic timer and fan controls work as they should. Is this normal? The weather here is very humid.

Most window/wall air conditioners evaporate any recovered humidity to aid in the refrigeration cycle. You may not see any moisture actually dripping from such units except maybe in very extreme situations.

This is usually a good thing to most home owners as dripping water can be a nuisance and can cause rot damage to any woodwork that may be beneath it.

Many thanks for the prompt response.
