Zoonie -- Wednesday, 12 February 2003, at 5:40 p.m.

Got a 1969 Norge. Have been to many parts sites.Model # of appliance not valid in searches. Gas oven safety valve needs replacing, broken thermal couple.Thermal couple not available separately. Many of valves look exactly like mine other than lenghth of thermal couple. If it mounts, connects, can I use it.Is pressure of valve only concern?? Are not most in 1/2lb.range?
Only # on valve is Z77797 or 277797. Norge Model # GRJ1340oouxa is invalid in searches.

You're right, I can't find a listing for your model number anywhere.

The gas pressure is usually measured in inches of water column. I have no idea how that translates to PSI. Our technicians however use the same MSC oven safety valve on domestic gas ranges as long as it has physically the same body. The one below is the one they prefer as it fits both 3/8" and 7/16" pipes.

I think the first one is correct but is only a manufacturing number. I've never seen a cross reference from those numbers.
