Inglis stove

Bart -- Saturday, 11 January 2003, at 4:09 p.m.

Hi
I have an Inglis stove model#IUP37580 that when it was heating up on the bake setting would get to around 350 and an F3 code came up.So I looked in your links and it said an F3 code was oven sensor. It also said that a sensor should be between 1000 and 1100 ohms.I checked mine and it was about 500 Ohms.So I got a new sensor and installed it and when I turned it on in a cold oven the display showed 395.My question is are all sensors the same 1000 to 1100 ohms at room temperature or do they vary by manufactuer?Im assuming the old sensor had a lower ohm rating and I was given the wrong part.Do you know the part# for the sensor for this stove? Thanks for your help in advance.

Oven sensors are not all the same and can vary between manufacturer and even between models made by the same company. The most common one used by many manufacturers lately should be about 1100 ohms when at room temperature.

Did you provide the parts supplier with the model number of your range for him to look up which one it takes?

I'm afraid I do not know the part number of the oven sensor used on your model. You should be able to provide your model number to any local appliance parts supplier and they can look it up for you (if they didn't bother the first time). If they can't, you should probably try an alternate parts supplier, there are usually several in any given area.
