F7 on Magic Chef ranges usually indicates a defect in the keypad for the range control and usually requires the keypad to be replaced to correct such an occurrence.

Often those keypads are only listed as part of the whole "control panel" but some popular models may be able to utilize just the keypad available separately as listed at our page linked below.

F-7 shuts down all cooking modes and sounds an alarm. This is due to a shorted key pad. There is always a slight chance that the wiring ribbon between the keypad and electronic control may just be loose but rarely the case. Replacement of the keypad assembly is usually required.

Try cutting power to the oven for a minute and restore. This will reset the fault and at least allow operation during Christmas hopefully. Good luck.
