Jen Air In Wall Oven Oven Element

John Kreeger -- Friday, 24 May 2002, at 12:51 p.m.

My apologies for not knowing the model number, but I suspect someone more knowledgable than I can help me out with this one.

The broiler element quit working on my in wall Jenn Air convection oven, so I purchased a replacement. I unscrewed the old one and began pulling it out. Only one set of wires was connected and the wires on the othe side could not be seen or reached. What is my next step in order to retrieve these wires and install the new element? Thanks for your help.

If the wiring for both sides of the original element were not attached to it when pulled out for replacement, you'll likely have to remove the wall oven from its enclosure to access the element wires from the back.

You can read about changing an oven element at the page linked below.

Thank you Dan. I will do that.
