Norge NGW3G1 oven pilot light

Theresa -- Sunday, 21 April 2002, at 10:20 p.m.

If anyone knows where the oven pilot light on a Norge model NGW3G1 is located, I would love to hear from you. Its about ten years old. It went out and I have no idea where to light it.

Thank you
Theresa

Hi,

The reason you can't find the pilot is because your range is an electronic ignition model and uses a glow bar type ignition system which has no "pilot".

If totally dead (not glowing at all), the ignitor may be defective, the oven gas valve electrically open or there may be a problem with the oven control system.

The link below described several of the different types of gas oven ignition systems and also common problems they experience.
