I have a Fridgidaire electric stove
Model: RS35 5420336
Serial NO. 17C21053
230Volt
The thermostat for the oven has gone bad and I need to get a new one. Are they available, or can I use a different thermostat?

That looks to be a 1953 General Motors made Frigidaire range model. The oven control for it was originally # 5431640 which was substitued to 05431640 which was finally substutued to 5305431640. If it or a replacement is available the company linked below should be able to supply it to you.

If a new replacement is no longer available (NLA) you may be able to get the original repaired by one of the companies listed in the Appliance411 'Appliance Links' section under "Restoration" or you could try posting a 'want ad' at the site linked below to see if anyone has any old stock kicking around.
