Please clarify:

They say they can't get it at all? or that it's currently out of stock and not available immediately? or can't get just the glass and you do not want to purchase the whole top (which includes the glass)?

There should be no reason the replacement top is totally unavailable. The glass however is not sold separately from the whole top, it is only available as part of the top assembly.

If the case is it is just out of stock, that sometimes happens. It is impossible for suppliers and even manufacturers to have every single part available on-hand all the time. In the case of the appliance manufacturer being out of them, they will have to wait until the part manufacturer makes more before they can make them available to parts depots and eventually service agents.

If you want anyone to be able to help you, you're going to need to know the facts.

It sounds as if Maytag (who makes and owns Magic Chef) is just out of them and are waiting to get their stock replenished. After you find out for sure from the servicer, try contacting Maytag's customer service (see the link below) and ask if they can give you an expected delivery date.

When cooking microwave popcorn, place the bag on a microwave safe plate. Extreme temperature differences, between the popcorn and glass tray, can cause thermal breakage of the tray.
