magic chef element only gets red hot

hello to all, i own a magic chef oven/range combo! i look'ed on the back of it while i was browsing through this forum, and i could'nt find the model # anywhere, theres only 2 electrical wiring diagram's and 1 warning sticker on the back, it was here when we moved in here, so i imagin it's pretty old, my ? is , is that one of the large burner's get's extremely hot, even when u turn it on a low setting, it just get's red hot out of control, can anyone tell me what is the problem THANK'S IN ADVANC'ED FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!!

If this is an electric range, the only thing that can cause that symptom is a defective element switch.

If you look through the 'Repair Parts' section of the Appliance411 site, you'll find tips on where to locate the model number on your appliances. They are no usually found on the back of an appliance.
