Oven light Cover

Bob -- Monday, 27 August 2001, at 7:31 p.m.

I have a built-in Whirlpool oven and the interior light has burned out. I tried turning and pulling off the glass cover over the light, but I can't seem to get it off. How is this cover removed? Thanks.

The only ways I've seen an oven light bulb cover held on was with a metal wire spring clip over it and the cover being threaded and getting screwed into place. If it is not one of those, maybe you could get the model number of the appliance in question and ask a local Whirlpool service agent or Whirlpool themselves.

If it does screw on, it's not unheard of for them to be gummed in place with cooking and/or grease residue.

Thanks for the reply, Dan. I was able to unscrew it after some coaxing. Thanks.

Thanks for the follow up. Glad you hear you were able to gain access to it.
