ihave a tappan centennial stove with microwae, model 77-4992-10104 serial 063-83090732, where would i find the model serial tag.

Where did you find that model and serial number?

i wrote serial and model #s in my manual when purchased my tappan microwave and oven and i dont remember where the tag was located. need to know wattage.

Oh, sorry. It was a good idea to keep it handy!

The model tag should be located in the standard places for ranges. Try the Model Tag Locator feature in the Appliance411 Parts section (see the link below) for where these are. If it's not in any of those locations, it may be around the opening for the microwave oven section of the range.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you need to know the wattage for?

i purchased a snuggle safe, a plastic disk you heat in the microwave, it keeps pet beds warm for 12 hours. it is very inportant to heat for the correct time for maxium use and to avoid damaging it, to hot and it will leak.

Older full size microwave ovens (and the ones built into ranges) were in the area of 700 watts cooking power.

Until recently, that was about as much cooking power you could get from them with the power available. In the last 5-10 years, they've been able to increase to output of some larger domestic counter top units to 850 or 1000 watts cooking power. Only commercial models would likely be any higher.
